William as being nasty, cruel and frankly just

William Shakespeare was one of the greatest writers and poets in history and in his play ¨Romeo And Juliet¨ he shows multiple ways of love through this play. Shakespeare’s thoughts about love shows the time period in which this was written and it was written in the year of 1595. He shows us in this play many kinds like tough love, forbidding love, friendly love and many other kinds from different people. The play shows the parents of Juliet as being nasty, cruel and frankly just mean towards Juliet. This is shown from their behaviors and actions towards Juliet. Capulet starts at the beginning of the play by being pretending to be pleasant and shields Juliet by explaining to Paris he may not marry Juliet because she is too young as it shows in act 1 scene 2 capulet says ¨But saying o’er what I have said before. My child is yet a stranger in the world. She hath not seen the change of fourteen years. Let two more summers wither in their pride Ere we may think her ripe to be a bride.¨ (1.2.7-11.)Juliet was thirteen years old and it was common to marry early back then. The father of juliet looks like he is nice while also accepting of Juliet but that gets altered as Capulet has a belief that this wedding will change her and everyone there to happy from sad after the passing of Tybalt.. But she has been distressed about Romeo’s banishment from Verona. However when she confronts Capulet that she does not want to get married to Paris the parents get filled with rage and gets very angry then Lady Capulet telling her ” I would the fool were married to her grave”(3.5.140). Juliet pleads to them to not marry Paris that’s when Capulet replies, “Hang thee young baggage, disobedient wretch! “(3.5.160). In which shows how mad and angry the parents are and are showing here tough love where there forcing her to do something. in the Montague´s household however they treat Romeo differently than the Capulets because in Act 1 Scene 1 when Romeo has disappeared Lady Montague is worried that something might have happened to him, “O where is Romeo, saw him you today? ” she also fears that poor Romeo could be in danger. This shows how the reader expects the parent and child relationship together and not how they are in the Capulet family. Romeos parents returns in Act 3 Scene 1 this is where they support and stand up for their son saying that he should not be executed because he killed a person that should have been murdered anyways. If the Capulet’s had handled it like this about Juliet it would have been different, it’s very possible that she would have wanted to marry Paris and not disobey her parents.
